Sport and Politics – united against right-wing extremism

Logo of Sport and Politics – united against right-wing extremism

Around half of all young people aged 16 to 25 belong to a sports club. This makes organised sport particularly interesting for right-wing extremists who are seeking to spread their attitude and beliefs and attract young people to join them. To stop this, sporting and political organisations started the joint campaign "Foul from the Right-Wing – sports and politics united for tolerance, respect and human dignity" at national, regional and local level in 2011. One of the main aims of the campaign is to make associations and in particular the people responsible for training and support aware of the situation and offer them guidance and back-up. The campaign also aims to create support amongst the general public.
