"Ouissal" – German-Tunisian-Moroccan mentor project for young female entrepreneurs

The Euro-Mediterranean-Arabic States Association (EMA), in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and with support from the Foreign Office, has initiated the German-Arabic mentoring project "Ouissal" which aims to strengthen the participation of women in the economy and in society. The pilot project is targeted at women from Germany, Tunisia and Morocco with the project objective sustainable economic empowerment.

Project website

The aims are:

  • Promoting the political, economic and social participation of women in Tunisia and Morocco; this will include, for example, implementing sustainable business ideas and building up companies
  • Supporting young female entrepreneurs through mentoring
  • Expanding knowledge in the areas of new media, computing, law, business development and financing
  • Improving intercultural links and communication skills
  • Local, regional and international networking of women
  • Moving forward with gender equality in the long term and helping to improve social living conditions.
